Welcome!

The Island Bookstore began as a small antiquarian store with a small retail space above Doud's market over 35 years ago.Today we have two locations, one on Mackinac Island and the other in Mackinaw City, serving the Straits of Mackinac area.

Our two stores are open from May through October, and you can visit us online all year long. We'll keep you in touch with new Mackinac and Michigan releases that your local shop might not get as excited about as we do. And although we specialize in Mackinac Island and Northern Michigan items, we are a full service book store.

If you can't find what you are looking for, just email us, and we probably have it, or can get it for you.

Featuring All Books Mackinac!
Enjoy our extensive collection of Mackinac regional books and gifts.
