Nathan - The Super Strong Horse

Nathan, The Strong Horse is part of a series of children's stories inspired by the larger-than-life personalities of real Mackinac Island working horses. Geoffrey Bassett, a year-round resident of the island, is a horse driver, draft horse caretaker, and tour guide.

In this story, Nathan is new to the island and struggles with feeling good enough or strong enough for such a big job. His friend Pebbles reminds him, “You’re more than enough—strong and tough.” Through overcoming big challenges, Nathan learns that self-confidence comes from being true to himself.
